I recently had the joy of photographing my best friend Victoria for our annual Colorado portrait session, and this year felt especially meaningful. Over the years, Victoria has always been a natural in front of the camera, following directions and bringing energy to each shot. But this time was different. I wasn’t just directing her, I was capturing the confident, gorgeous woman standing in front of me.

Watching her embrace herself so fully during the session literally brought tears to my eyes. Her confidence radiated through every glance, every pose, every smile. It’s moments like this that remind me why I do Colorado portraits: not just to create beautiful images, but to capture the transformative experience of someone feeling proud, empowered, and completely at ease with who they are.
