A New York Wedding: Felicity & Leon

Long Island, NY

Last month, I had the pleasure of traveling to photograph a truly beautiful New York wedding at the Mansion at Glen Cove. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the venue’s timeless elegance. With its stately, Georgian exterior, grand interiors, and regal architectural details, the mansion set a refined and romantic tone for the entire day. Every room felt thoughtfully designed, offering endless inspiration and a sense of old-world charm that elevated each moment as it unfolded.

What made the day especially meaningful, though, was not just the setting. One of the most memorable moments came during the ceremony, when the groom shared deeply sentimental vows with his bride. There was a stillness in the room as he spoke, a collective pause as friends and family took in words that were heartfelt, vulnerable, and full of intention. It was one of those moments that reminds me why I love photographing weddings: the quiet power of genuine emotion.

As the celebration continued, the evening transitioned seamlessly into a lively and joyful reception. The energy carried late into the night, with guests filling the dance floor and celebrating with unrestrained enthusiasm. It was clear how much love surrounded the couple, and how thoughtfully the day had been planned to reflect who they are.

One of the most beautiful aspects of the wedding was the way the couple honored their Chinese heritage. From carefully designed signage to real-time speaking coverage throughout much of the day, they ensured that all guests felt included and connected. It was a meaningful reminder that weddings are not just about two people coming together, but about families, cultures, and traditions being shared.

Photographing this wedding at the Mansion at Glen Cove was an absolute joy, and I’m grateful to have been part of such a heartfelt and unforgettable celebration.
